Western New York just can’t get enough of food festivals this summer! From Taste of Buffalo, Hamburg BurgerFest, National Buffalo Wing Festival, and the Buffalo Italian Heritage Festival, this summer was filled with ways to get outside and eat great food. Now that the weather is cooling and the summer is over, we still have a few fun festivals coming up to help transition us into the colder weather!
EDC is most excited for the Meatball Street Brawl, an event we proudly sponsor and is hosted by our friends at Osteria 166. Nick Pitillo from Osteria 166 has created the idea to hold a competition for both traditional and non-traditional categories for local restaurants’ meatballs. This festival was originally intended to include around a few local restaurants to compete, however it has gained a great amount of attention and more competitors have signed up. Restaurants such as Bada Bing, Ilio DiPaolo’s, Mulberry, Snooty Fox, Tappo, and even Midtown Kitchen (MTK) have stepped into the ring and are ready to rumble!
The event will take place on Sunday, October 2nd at 11am. Esteemed celebrity judges (including EDC’s Carl Paladino) will be on deck ready to sample and score throughout the day. Tickets are available at any of the participating restaurants or at www.osteriabuffalo.com for $10 in advance or $15 the day of.
