ELLICOTTVILLE — Local barbecue restaurant The Armor Inn Tap Room opened its new Ellicottville location on Dec. 19, the second location for the tap room. The new restaurant is located across the street from the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel in Ellicottville.
The new Armor Inn Tap Room is open seven days a week starting at 7 a.m. for breakfast, lunch, dinner and at 10 p.m., a late-night menu is available. According to owner JC Seneca, some of the restaurant’s Hamburg favorites, including the smoked wings and barbecue nachos will be on the new menu, as well as new features like a breakfast menu, homemade pizza logs and BBQ tacos. The restaurant will also feature a happy hour, Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Thursday Wing Night, Fish Fry Fridays, Saturday Prime Rib Dinner Special and Sunday Kids Eat Free.
In addition to its menu, the tap room also has a full-service bar, including a variety of taps, as well as live entertainment Friday and Saturday nights.
“I am very excited to open a new restaurant in such a great and thriving community like Ellicottville,” said Seneca. “I am very thankful to all of the business owners, elected officials and community members for being so welcoming.”
Seneca added that he has assembled a team to run the Armor Inn comprised of experienced people from Western New York. His management team consists of Matthew Brunner as the director of food and beverage for all his restaurants, including Native Pride Diner and both Armor Inn Tap Room locations; Kirstin Knowles as the restaurant’s general manager; Michele Jacobson as the floor, bar and catering manager and Troy Skowronski as the executive chef.
“We would like to thank Bill Paladino of Ellicott Development and all of the contractors and employees who helped us with every stage of the building process,” said Seneca. The restaurant also recognized Director of Development Mark Tufillaro for renovating the space.
“We also look forward to our partnership with Ellicott Hospitality and The Wingate by Wyndham Hotel in Ellicottville coming in January 2015,” Seneca concluded.
Ellicottville Brewing Company has also created a special “Armor Inn Pale Ale” for the restaurant, available at both locations. The new ale is available at the bar or as a growler to take home.
