Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School, is proposing a small addition to its athletics’ facilities at the McKinley Parkway location in South Buffalo.
And, the expansion is being financially covered by one of the school’s most famous graduates, Carl Paladino, Ellicott Development Co. chairman and founder.
“We believe in helping the school,” said William Paladino, Ellicott president and CEO, and a Timon graduate, as is his father, Carl.
The Paladinos have been longtime Timon benefactors.
“It’s a good school and we’re just doing our part,” William Paladino said.
The development cost is still being determined.
Plans call for constructing a 2,645-square-foot addition to the rear of the McKinley Parkway school. The addition will house a weight room for Timon’s athletic programs.
Representatives from Ellicott Development will be presenting the expansion proposal to the Buffalo Planning Board, which will consider the project when it meets on March 7.
If approved, construction would start by late spring and the weight room should be ready by early fall.
