Many of the Ellicott Development properties and buildings have interesting pasts and fascinating history behind them. A few of our buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and many of the buildings are extremely architecturally significant for Buffalo. When working on a new project, we find it extremely important to remember the history of our properties and appreciate their precedents.
One of our most interesting and historically significant building is the Ellicott Square Building, as during its time of construction it was the largest office building in the world. Now, it is home to Ellicott Development and many other commercial tenants. Some of our buildings such as the Graystone and the Antonio are so historically significant that they have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our Sherwood building is located on the historic Linwood Avenue in downtown Buffalo.
Ellicott also enjoys remembering the history or previous uses of our properties in renovations and remodeling. For example, our 1350 Eggert Road and 1 Delaware road projects are both former schools with plans to have vintage schoolhouse themed interiors. 301 Ohio Street and The Fairmont both remember their previous industrial purposes through their modern industrial themed exteriors and interiors.
