Ellicott Development Co. will officially open its latest area hotel Wednesday night.
The hotel, the region’s first Country Inn & Suites, has been built on Slade Avenue in West Seneca, just off Interstate-90. Country Inn & Suites is part of the Carlson hotel and restaurant chain.
Ellicott Development invested $12 million to construct the 108-room hotel. The Country Inn neighbors two other Ellicott developed-hotels on Slade Avenue, a Hampton Inn and Staybridge Suites. Combined the three hotels have more than 300 rooms and represent $30 million in private sector investment.
Carl Paladino, Ellicott Development chairman, said the Country Inn & Suites will create as many as 30 new jobs.
Among the amenities in the hotel are an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, conference room and business center.
Besides the three West Seneca hotels, Ellicott Development has built three other area hotels and has a pair under construction in Amherst.
