310 Niagara Street

Niagara Gazette

    Building Summary:

Historically home to the Niagara Gazette, this three-story complex is located at the northeast corner of Niagara Street and Third Street in Downtown Niagara Falls. Designed by architect Chester R. Phelps, the complex was constructed in 1914 with additions added in 1923 and 1986.

Plans include a full-scale renovation into a mix of uses. The first floor would include commercial space suitable for restaurant, retail, or office use and 13 market-rate apartments would occupy and second and third floors. We are working in consultation with the State Historic Preservation Office and National Park Service to restore the building’s exterior in likeness to its original form. This work will include installing historically accurate windows masonry repairs, and the installation of new storefront glazing along the front elevation.

We are excited to bring this vacant complex back to life and believe that its adaptive reuse will add to the vibrancy and rebirth of Niagara Street in Downtown Niagara Falls.
