Incredible redevelopment project at the iconic Frontier House in Lewiston! Originally constructed in 1824 as an inn for travelers, this historic landmark has played a significant role in the history of Lewiston and Western New York. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974, the Frontier House holds immense cultural and architectural value. Acquired in 2019, our objective is to rehabilitate this treasured structure to a level befitting its landmark status in the heart of the village. Currently, the Frontier House is undergoing an extensive transformation, breathing new life into this long-vacant gem.

Our redevelopment plans include a mix of uses that will activate the property once again. The basement and first floor will house a captivating restaurant space, providing a culinary destination in a truly historic setting. On the upper floors, a combination of short-term vacation rentals and market-rate apartments will create a dynamic living environment. *The restaurant will offer a curated selection of wine, beer and cocktails that complement the food and reflect the region’s diversity. The name, Fairbanks, pays homage to Joshua Fairbanks, the man who built the Frontier house in 1824.

Working closely with the State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service, our rehabilitation efforts are dedicated to restoring the Frontier House to its original historic condition. Both the interior and exterior will undergo meticulous renovations, ensuring that the integrity and charm of this architectural gem are carefully preserved. We are thrilled to be a part of writing the next chapter in the Frontier House’s celebrated history. Through thoughtful programming and dedication to its original function, we aim to re-energize this iconic landmark, allowing it to once again play a vital role in the vibrancy of Lewiston.
